One question per slide.

A pre-seed deck is usually ten slides. Not eight, not twenty. Each one answers a single question, in order, so belief compounds as the investor moves through it. Here is the sequence we build on, close to the Sequoia structure investors already expect.

The ten slides.

  1. Purpose. One line on what you do, in plain words a non-expert repeats.

  2. Problem. Who hurts, how much, and what it costs them today.

  3. Why now. The shift that makes this the moment.

  4. What you built. The product, shown working, not described.

  5. How it works. The mechanism, in one clear step-by-step.

  6. Wedge and market. The narrow way in, and where it leads.

  7. Traction. The momentum you have: partners, pipeline, usage.

  8. Business model. How this makes money, stated simply.

  9. Team. Why you, specifically, win this.

  10. The ask. How much you are raising, the runway it buys, and the milestones you reach.

What to cut.

The competition matrix with you in the top right. The hockey-stick chart with no basis under it. The ten-slide appendix nobody opens in the room. If a slide does not move the investor one step closer to yes, it is working against you.

Order is the argument.

The slides matter less than their sequence. Problem earns why-now. Why-now earns the product. The product earns the wedge. By slide ten the ask should read as the obvious next move, not a cold request. A deck that is complete but out of order still loses.

We build the deck as one output of the narrative, not the product itself. See the Crossing.

Early companies do not need to look bigger than they are. They need to make the next step feel inevitable.

A practical note on what gets scanned, what earns a second look, and why the deck has to make the round feel obvious.

Do you raise the money?

No. We make you fundable and stop at the door of the room. We never touch the capital, take placement fees, or broker introductions for compensation.

The narrative, brand, deck, data room, website, and launch or demo film, built off one story so every surface says the same thing.

Can you do just a deck, or just a film?

Can you do just a deck, or just a film?

We can, but the Crossing is built as one system. The deck or film is one output of making you fundable, not the product.
