The range, from public prices
Launch video pricing varies more than almost any other startup purchase. Based on prices studios publish on their own websites in 2026:
Template and AI-assisted launch videos start in the low hundreds of dollars.
Studio launch films commonly list between about $8,000 and $15,000. Claybird lists a launch film at $9,000 and Blueprint Studio lists launch video packages at $8,000 to $15,000.
Fundraise and brand films with scenes, cast and multiple locations list from about $15,000 and scale up from there.

What moves the price
Shoot days. One day on location costs very differently from a multi-day, multi-city production.
Crew. A founder with a phone, a small crew, or a full cinema crew with a director, DP and producer.
Cast and locations. Actors, permits and set builds add cost and add memorability.
Motion graphics. Heavy product animation takes editing time.
Speed. Rushing to a fixed YC launch date can add cost if the studio is not built for it.

What should never get cut
The idea. A cheap film built around one memorable idea will outperform an expensive film with nothing to say. When budgets get tight, cut locations and runtime before you cut the concept work.

How to budget for a YC launch
Decide what the launch needs to do: get customers, get investor meetings, or recruit. Then work back to the format. Te Dua scopes every film to the launch it serves and gives a fixed quote after a twenty-minute call. Plan your launch.
